ABOUT DR. KEWAL KRISHAN

Dr. Kewal Krishan has done four years of advanced clinical fellowships at world’s top hospitals including Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN, USA and Mount Sinai Medical center New York, USA where he acquired expertise in advanced therapies in end stage heart failure. He was trained by internationally renowned surgeons for Heart Transplant and Ventricular Assist Devices. He is one of a handful of Indian surgeonswho is formally trained in all aspects of transplantation. He was trained intensively in the entire spectrum of ventricular assist devices including bridge to transplant, short term and long term devices and destination therapy. His other area of specialized training is Extra Coporeal Membrane Oxygenation(ECMO).

He became proficient to an advanced level in performing complex cardiac operations including Redo surgeries during fellowships. Dr.Kewal has published widely in the field of cardiac surgery authoring over fifty scientific articles and abstracts published in peer-reviewed journals or presented at international scientific meetingsincluding
